Mem0 Cloud

A hosted agent-memory API shaped like mem0's REST API (an alternative to running mem0 yourself): send conversations, get durable memories back by meaning. No vector database, no model to run, no server to keep alive.

Your memories are private to your key

Anyone can pay for a call, so user_id alone never gives access. Every call needs a secret that you generate once and keep: a random string of 16 to 256 characters, sent as the X-Memory-Key header (or the memory_key field or parameter, for MCP tools). Memories are stored and searched only under a hash of it; a different key sees nothing, even with the same user_id. We cannot recover a lost key, and we cannot read your memories without it. Generate one with openssl rand -hex 24.

Endpoints

Where mem0 has a path parameter (/v1/memories/{id}/) we take memory_id as a query parameter. Our add answers at once with the results instead of queuing an event. Not supported: categories, graph memory, rerank, OR/NOT filters, updating a memory.

How long memories are kept: the broker keeps the search vectors for 30, 90 or 365 days, paid up front when a memory is written. We always pay for 365 days, so every memory lives 365 days after it was added, then it is gone.

Pay per call in USDC with x402, or buy prepaid credits by card.

Try it

KEY=$(openssl rand -hex 24)
curl -X POST "$ORIGIN/v3/memories/add" -H "Authorization: Bearer $API_KEY" -H "X-Memory-Key: $KEY" -H 'content-type: application/json' \
  -d '{"user_id":"alice","messages":[{"role":"user","content":"I moved to San Francisco from New York."}]}'
curl -X POST "$ORIGIN/v3/memories/search" -H "Authorization: Bearer $API_KEY" -H "X-Memory-Key: $KEY" -H 'content-type: application/json' \
  -d '{"query":"where does the user live?","filters":{"user_id":"alice"}}'

There are no free calls. Without an API key, a call gets 402 Payment Required with the x402 terms, which x402 clients and agents pay automatically in USDC.

Use it from an AI agent (MCP)

Every endpoint is also a tool on this product's MCP server. Add it to any MCP client (Claude, Cursor, VS Code and others) with your API key:

{ "mcpServers": { "mem0-cloud": { "url": "$ORIGIN/mcp", "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer <your API key>" } } } }

The tools are add_memory, search_memories, get_memories and delete_memories; each takes your secret as the memory_key argument.
